Butt-Dial

Good morning P6!

Last night, after being asleep a few hours, I groggily woke up to my phone ringing. I answered. On the other end, I heard random noises and what sounded like shuffling papers. It was a classic “butt-dial.” I texted back; no reply.

This is some good honey for your biscuits this morning…

Whether we are calling or He is calling us, Jesus is ALWAYS there. Always. For me, sometimes it takes a moment to tune in. All the papers shuffling in my head you know? One of many favorite scriptures is, “Be still, and know that I am God.” My favorite translation of that one is, “Stop striving and recognize that I am God.”

We need to understand that “be still” means be quiet. It also means, stop, slow down, take a minute to listen. It is always on our end when there is a poor connection. Today, for a moment maybe, stop. And listen. Jesus is there. Because He loves you best and most. You matter more than you can imagine.

That’s the honey today.
